U.S.D 270 PLAINVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE:
U.S. Secretary of Agriculture made an announcement that the USDA is allowing districts to serve FREE meals to children into the fall months. Each district is required to complete an application to participate in the program.
USD 270 is proud to announce we have been approved to provide FREE breakfast and lunches to ALL K-12 students. Meals will be served and provided as normal; however, your child's lunch account will NOT be charged. Meals will be served on the days USD 270 is in session. If school is cancelled due to inclement weather, no meals will be served that day.
Please be advised, we do not know how long this program will be available to us. We are excited, though, to provide our students and families this opportunity during this difficult time.
Due to the impact of other financial programs, we encourage families to still complete the Child Nutrition & Wellness Free & Reduced lunch application.
If you currently have a positive lunch account balance, the funds will remain in your account as a credit until the USDA program is complete. Please feel free to contact the school if you have any questions.
